Caxton Builders Apprentice Awarded South & City College Birmingham Apprentice of the Year Award

Congratulations to Caxton Builders apprentice, Shemsi Bala, who was awarded South & City College Birmingham Apprentice of the Year Award. 

The annual Sir Doug Ellis OBE Apprenticeship Awards was held at Birmingham’s Macdonald Burlington Hotel on Friday 10th March, and was attended by apprentices, local partners and employers from across the region. 

Ivan Sharpe, Caxton Group Apprenticeship Manager commented, “We would like to congratulate Shemsi on his brilliant achievement. Having been with Caxton for three years he has demonstrated a great work ethic, an excellent standard of work and is a pleasure to work with”.

Hosts and presenters for the night included broadcaster Tom Ross, the colleges InBusiness President, Andrea Jester, Consultant Plastic/Hand Surgeon at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospitals NHS Trust and Nicholas Bailey – Leadership Training & Development Consultant with The Pacific Institute, Presence-based Coach & Presenter.

Spokesperson from the college commented, “We are honoured to have been able to hand out so many awards to some remarkable apprentices and employers”.
