TEAM INSIGHTS: HEAR FROM KITCHNER, CAXTON BUILDERS APPRENTICE

Welcome to Team Insights. Today Kitchener Godsmark tells us why he wanted to work for Caxton Group and what have been his highlights so far. 

What did you want to do after school? 

“I wanted to find a job in the building trade as it has always interested me.

Why did you choose Caxton Group?

When I was looking for apprenticeships, Caxton Group stood out to me as their website explained all of the benefits of working for them and it seemed like the best option for me. 

How long have you been with Caxton Group?

I have been with Caxton Group for just over a year now and I am really enjoying the experience so far.

What sites/type of work have you experienced so far? 

I have worked on sites such as Station Street and Sylvester Street and I have learned a lot from both.

What is the best part of your job and working for Caxton Group?

The best part of the job has got to be the finishing result of my work. I really enjoy seeing the improvements I have made to different sites. 

What are your hobbies, or leisure activities?

My main hobbies that I enjoy are going to the gym, and playing football. 

What is the best advice you have received, or would give?

The best advide I have received is, “The squeaky wheel gets the oil!”.

What are your plans for the future?

In the future, I would like to pass my qualification and then continue my journey in the building trade with Caxton Group working my way up in the business”.
