February 2009.

Tell us about your role within the business?

Booking in the bricklayers and looking after the commercial aspects of individual projects.

Where are you based?

I’m based out of our Derby office but usually on the road.

How would you describe the culture within the business?

Its generally very relaxed, but hard work is encouraged and rewarded.

What would you say at the main advantages to working for Caxton Group?

Everyone works as a team and as a team we are all always ready to help with any queries.

How would you describe the career progression / opportunities within the business?

Excellent. There are so many opportunities for anyone who is ambitious and keen to progress. I joined the company almost 15 years ago on the tools, I was then promoted to a site supervisor, site manager, senior site manager, commercial assistant and now I am a quantity surveyor.

How would you describe the training and development at Caxton Group?

Again, excellent. Any training needed for your role or progression within the business is readily available. Caxton Group is fully supportive of any training to help career progression.  We work really closely as a team so we learn from each other.

How would you describe the benefits to working at Caxton Group?

Great. Fully supportive of a good work/life balance and a favourable bonus scheme which rewards hard work.

What would you say to someone who is thinking of working for Caxton Group?

It’s a great company to work for, were all treated the same, and work really closely as a team. There are plenty of opportunities for career advancement within the business.
