Caxton Group supports our local community food banks at Christmas
Once again for our sixth year running, we are collecting donations for food banks in our local community. In the last year, a staggering 3.1 million emergency food parcels were provided by food banks to people facing hardship across the UK. The level of need at food banks continues to grow, as people simply don’t have enough money to get by.
Ian Black, Caxton Builders Buyer who runs the initiative said: “We are hoping as many of our team, industry colleagues and suppliers can help us with this year’s food bank collection. Regretfully demand is increasing year after year. Last year we collected over ½ tonne of food for the food bank and we send our thanks to everyone who donated. We welcome food parcels or supermarket vouchers (if it is easier). We would be gratefully for any donations to help a worthy cause. I’m sure we all agree that no child should go without a hot meal especially at Christmas and no parent should have to choose between heat or eat”.
We are looking to drop off the collection to the distribution centre at the end of November so that it’s handed out in time for Christmas.
Thank you in advance and for the years you have been supporting Caxton Group food bank collections.
