Caxton Group Supports Trussell: Building a Future Free from Hunger and Poverty

Each year, Caxton Group is proud to support the incredible work of Trussell, an organisation dedicated to helping individuals and families dealing with hunger and poverty. Through its network of food banks and community partners, Trussell provides emergency food, support, and vital resources to people experiencing hardship. This year’s collection, once again organised by Caxton Group’s Ian Black and his family, raised over £2,500 for the charity.

A Remarkable Response

Ian commented, “All we can say is thank you all so much. The response this year has been outstanding by both staff and suppliers, and we can’t thank you enough. The difference you have made to hundreds of families this Christmas can’t be measured. Your kindness directly supports people who are struggling to put food on the table at Christmas.”

This Year’s Collection

This year, the collection included £2,500 donated to purchase food and a total weight of 780.41 kilograms in goods. To give a sense of scale, this included 30 boxes of tinned goods, 150 litres of milk, 45 large shopping bags filled with food, and 70 boxes of cereal. Every item collected will directly support families who need immediate help this winter.
