This project consists of the demolition of the existing structure and construction of 13 retail units and a standalone Next store (phase 1) and Fosse Food Central with an additional 14 retail units (phase 2). Fosse Food Central consisted of a two-storey food court, which provides four retail units and 13 areas for casual dining or restaurant formats, a management suite, customer facilities and a link to Fosse Park West. Highways alterations concluded the development.

All new buildings and retaining walls were built in BEA Majestic 65mm brick with a total of around 300,000nr. The project utilised 1/2 brick, 1 brick, 2 brick and 3 brick hanging bolt up systems. The 38- week program built in 2019/20 consisted of 400000 bricks.

The project was part of £168m further investment in Fosse Park by The Crown Estate. Simon Lloyd, Fox Lloyd Jones, Project Managers for The Crown Estate said, “Involving very different buildings, separate design teams and highly complex infrastructure change in a live environment, the project could not have been delivered without excellent collaboration and communication at all levels with all stakeholders.”
