New Contract Award – Caxton Builders appointed to deliver supply & fix at Dudley Interchange

Caxton Builders is pleased to announce that we have been appointed by valued client, Vinci Building to deliver a supply & fix package of external brickwork and internal blockwork for the Dudley Interchange project. The package value is approximately £570,000 and the work is scheduled to run over circa 20 weeks.

This contract forms part of the wider £24 million transport hub development in Dudley town centre. The project will create a modern interchange facility supporting buses, the Sprint rapid-transit network and the West Midlands Metro trams. It is a key component in the regeneration of Dudley town centre, improving connectivity and enabling future growth.

Caxton’s role in the project

Caxton Builders will undertake the full supply and fix scope of the brick and blockwork package: from materials procurement through to fix on-site installation, both for the external facing brickwork and the internal blockwork zones. With our proven expertise, we will ensure the build is delivered efficiently, to programme and to the high standards required for this important public-transport infrastructure.

Ian Knight, Managing Director at Caxton Builders said, “We are delighted to be working with Vinci Building on this major transport hub development in Dudley. The scheme represents a significant investment in the region’s public transport infrastructure, and we are proud to bring our brickwork and blockwork expertise to support its successful delivery. This project will play an important role in the regeneration of Dudley town centre and will have a lasting positive impact on the local community.”

A major investment in the West Midlands

The Dudley Interchange scheme is a major investment in the West Midlands’ transport network. By bringing together multiple modes of travel – Sprint rapid transit buses, and West Midlands Metro trams – it will improve accessibility for residents, support economic regeneration and bolster the town-centre public realm.

Look out for further updates as the project progresses.
