New contract award: Hollis Croft, Sheffield

Hollis Croft

Caxton Façades is proud to announce our latest project – residential development, Hollis Croft in the heart of Sheffield. This Build to Rent (BTR) scheme is already underway. Caxton Façades will work alongside main contractor, Torsion Construction, client Torsion Developments and Housing Growth Partnership. We begin the installation of Stofix brick slip cladding in April 2025 with the project set to complete mid-2026.

Up to 17 storeys

Hollis Croft is set to become a standout development in the city of Sheffield. This mixed-use building will rise from 7 to 17 storeys, featuring 234 residential units, including studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. Residents at Hollis Croft will enjoy stylish living spaces and excellent communal amenities. The design focuses on both practicality and community, with modern coworking areas and shared spaces that support a balanced lifestyle for both professionals and families.

Hollis Croft

Architectural excellence

Hollis Croft features a modern façade that combines style with sustainability. Stofix advanced brick slip cladding system will enhance the building’s exterior, giving it a durable and aesthetic finish that is in keeping with the surrounding buildings.

Designed by Den Architecture, this project is a great example of how modern architecture meets the needs of urban living, while using sustainable materials and construction methods. The design of the building was developed with the concept of layering, through the careful use of materials, carefully detailed fenestration and the use of step backs to define openings in order to create a façade with depth and visual interest. The development is defined by the tower to Broad Lane, which uses varied opening heights and coloured cladding to emphasise the verticality of the elevations”.

Façades installation

This Build to Rent (BTR) development is already underway, with our team set to begin the installation of 2,400m² Stofix brick slip cladding in April 2025. The project is expected to be completed by mid-2026. This project has been designed using Building Information Modelling (BIM) and this site has been identified through the Sheffield City Council Housing & Economic Land Availability Assessments (HELAA).

Look out for further updates as we progress.
