New Project Award: Waseley Hills High School
We are thrilled to announce a significant new contract award for Caxton Builders. The project involves the construction work at Waseley Hills High School, located in Rubery, Bromsgrove. This ambitious project is led by our client, Tilbury Douglas, and has a contract value of £750,000.
Project scope
Our role in this project includes supplying and fixing the masonry subcontract package. This entails:
- external façade with Ibstock Brunswick Farmhouse Mixture facing brickwork
- landscaping walls
- internal blockwork
- and associated ancillary works.
Project timeline
The project is set to commence in July 2024 and will span over 31 weeks. The construction of the new 8,493m² state-of-the-art facility is split into two phases. The first block will be constructed in 2024, with the second block following in the third quarter of 2025.
A state-of-the-art facility
The new facility will replace the existing school and will serve more than 1,000 pupils. The school will feature two core blocks and include a dedicated special educational needs department. This means Waseley Hills High School can provide a high-quality learning experience in an inspiring and focused environment.
Environmental commitment
In line with modern sustainability goals, the new school facility will be net zero carbon in operation. It will also maximise natural light and ventilation, creating an energising and conducive learning environment for students and staff. We are proud to be part of such an impactful project – enhancing educational infrastructure and also supporting environmental sustainability. Look out for updates as we commence this project.
