Project update: Ark Education, London
At Caxton Group, we believe in the power of construction to not only transform physical spaces – but also communities. Our latest collaboration with esteemed main contractor, Bowmer + Kirkland Ltd, illustrates this ethos perfectly. Together, we’re working on an exciting new mixed-use development in White City, west London – EdCity. At the heart of this development, we’re taking the lead as the specialist installer of Stofix ventilated brick slip façade.
Transforming communities
Through this project, a vibrant education hub is emerging, revitalising Ark Swift Primary Academy, Harmony Nursery, and the Adult Community Education Centre, along with a youth zone catering to the younger generation. This development introduces 132 new housing units – 55 one-bedroom and 77 two-bedroom apartments, designed for local residents and essential workers, including teachers. Adding to the transformation, a public square and pedestrian and cycling routes to slash travel time and enhance accessibility to nearby transport links. We are delighted to be working on block C: the grade A, 95,000 sq ft office building with terraces, meeting spaces, and a top-floor penthouse – paving the way for a brighter community future.
Partnering for progress
Scott Millington, Caxton Façades Operations Director, shared his excitement: “Working with Bowmer + Kirkland on this project has been an incredible opportunity for us to contribute to the betterment of the community. The development aims to not only enhance the educational facilities but also provide affordable housing solutions for local residents, including key workers. EdCity office building will soon be transformed into Number One EdCity, the future home of Ark. This aligns perfectly with our commitment to creating spaces that foster positive change.”
Innovative excellence
Innovation is at the core of what we do. As the specialist installer of the Stofix ventilated brick slip facade, we’re elevating the EdCity development to new heights. This revolutionary solution isn’t just about aesthetics – it embodies durability, energy efficiency and sustainability.
Working alongside Bowmer + Kirkland, we’re proud to be part of a project that inspires change, fosters connections, and creates lasting legacies.
