When did you join the business?
I joined the business in October 2022 after working for a main contractor for the past 25 years.
Tell us about your role within the business?
My role is to ensure the business is operating correctly both within the construction elements and financially and implement new standards to ensure all business operations run as smoothly as possible.
I work closely with our clients and build relationships to ensure we are giving best value for money and client satisfaction on all projects. I also manage our ever-growing team to ensure every employee is happy in their working life and enjoying working for the company.
How many people / departments do you manage?
The façade side of our business is in a period of growth. At present we have a design team, a commercial team and production teams with operations managers, contracts managers, project managers, site managers, supervisors etc. which make up approximately 25 staff plus numerous operatives.
Where are you based?
I am mainly based at the Caxton Façades office in Derby but split my time between the office and construction sites.
How would you describe the culture within the business?
There is a great ethos within the business to strive to make our number one goal client satisfaction. The whole business works as a team from the top down. There is a huge diversity of knowledge and skills within the company, and this can be drawn upon to overcome any problems.
