Piotr Ceglinski

At Caxton Group, we believe our people are the driving force behind every successful project. In this edition of our Team Insights series, we spoke with Piotr Ceglinski, Senior Design Manager, to learn more about his background, his role, and what excites him about the future of façades.
From stonemasonry to façade design
Piotr’s career in construction began in 2005, working in stonemasonry as a labourer. Keen to progress, he quickly moved into design, gaining multiple qualifications along the way – including training in CAD software and achieving both an HNC and HND in Construction Design.
Over the years, Piotr has built up broad design expertise across roofing, structural concrete, and concrete cladding.
“I’ve been with Caxton Façades since its founding. Before that, I worked for Caxton Group from early 2020. I also spent a year as Design Manager at Stofix, strengthening my knowledge of innovative brickslip cladding systems.”
Leading design delivery at Caxton Façades
As Senior Design Manager, Piotr is involved in almost every project Caxton Façades delivers. From the very beginning of a scheme, he engages with architects and clients to add value and ensure a smooth design journey.
“My role is about keeping the design process on track – from early engagement right through to project completion,” Piotr explains. “That means making sure quality is there at every stage, coordinating remedial work where needed, and providing the technical support our clients and site teams rely on.”
His recent projects showcase the breadth of Caxton Façades’ expertise:
- Hollis Croft, Sheffield – A complex mix of Stofix brick slip, aluminium, and stone cladding across multiple systems.
- Station Road – Combining Stofix brick slip cladding with bespoke aluminium elements.
- Alperton Bus Garage Development – The company’s largest project to date, featuring Stofix brick slip cladding and bespoke aluminium elements, now close to completion.
- Lisbon Street – Caxton Façades’ first aluminium-only cladding project, nearing completion.
- New pipeline projects – Early design involvement in several exciting schemes across the UK.
Driving client satisfaction through expertise and collaboration
For Piotr, the key to client satisfaction is simple: being supportive at every stage and using expertise to deliver real value.
“A big part of my role is value engineering – finding ways to reduce costs without compromising on quality. On Hollis Croft, for example, we identified an alternative insulation material that delivered the same performance as the original specification but at a more cost-effective price point. These kinds of solutions make a big difference for clients.”
Around 75% of Piotr’s work involves Stofix systems, and he sees the partnership as a major strength for Caxton Façades. “Stofix is a fantastic system that keeps evolving. Their large design team is always refining the product, and we feed in from a delivery perspective to help drive efficiency, reduce waste, and keep projects on programme.”
A supportive culture and limitless opportunities
Working as part of a relatively small team, Piotr says the culture at Caxton Façades is what makes the difference:
“We share plenty of laughs, but when deadlines are tight, everyone pulls together and gives that extra commitment. There’s a lot of mutual support, which is vital in a fast-paced environment like ours.”
Professional development is another area Piotr highlights. Through Caxton’s partnership with Atlas Citation, staff have access to a huge range of training opportunities, from site safety to management skills. Piotr himself has already completed courses in health and safety, mental health, conflict management, ISO 9001, and fire safety – with eight more in the pipeline.
Looking ahead
Piotr is optimistic about the future for Caxton Façades. “This year has been about consolidating, making sure we don’t outgrow ourselves too quickly. But next year will be about growth again, and I’m excited to see where that takes us. We’re already looking at new projects around the country with our partners at Stofix UK, which is really encouraging. Personally, I’d like to expand the design team further and build even greater independence in our design capabilities.”
With a proven track record across multiple complex projects, and a strong vision for the future, Piotr and the team are well placed to continue delivering high-quality façade solutions for clients across the UK.
