“I began my career working for a small family groundworks company. I later joined Willmott Dixon as a Construction Management Trainee, where I spent around 12 years progressing through roles from Assistant Site Manager to Construction Manager, eventually leading project management teams. Throughout my career, I’ve gained extensive experience across various sectors, developing a broad knowledge of construction practices. I am also proud to be a member of the Chartered Institute of Building and a past award winner, reflecting my commitment to excellence in the field.

Tell us about your role.

I lead and support the Caxton Façades project teams on some of our major contracts within the Midlands and North of England. I’ve been heavily involved in setting up and the implementation of our procedures for health and safety, quality assurance and communications at project level. I oversee our site teams based on these projects and make sure they have the right skills, training and guidance to make our projects successful as well as offering any support required to help operational delivery. I evaluate with the site team our materials, resources and site issues to report on any potential programme blockers, I also explore ways to improve our performance to improve our efficiency and service.

I communicate with our internal teams, external suppliers, design teams and generally the client’s project teams.  I am just one of the people within the business who are assisting our new site management team develop and improve our service, whether in procedures or communicating effectively to our operatives on-site and to our client teams.

Which projects are you currently working on?

Currently I am working on Holloway Head and Lisbon Street for Winvic Construction and Hollis Croft for Torsion Construction. We recently completed Kent Street Baths in Birmingham.
